I was in Vegas for CES this past week and I took with me my HP Mini 1000 and my HP HDX18. I figured I could use the mini 1000 for quick things like checking my email, and or writing something up.
But instead I used my mini 1000 for everything. I checked email with it, edited photos, watched a few videos not once did I take out my HDX18 it sat lonely in my notebook bag the entire week. I was really surprised at that because I expected I would of needed the power of the HDX18 to edit some raw images I had, but the mini 1000 was good enough for me.
HP and other companies are pitching these systems “netbooks” as notebook companions, but with the power they can deliver do you really need the notebook or just the companion? Let us know!
