Do you have a Username on YouTube and watch clips for TV shows? Well Viacom will soon know who you are according to FoxNews.
A federal Judge has ordered Google to turn over the data along with every single clip they have removed from YouTube to Viacom. So why does Viacom want the data? Because they claim that pirated content is watched and wanted more than original content, and they hope this new data will prove their case. I am pretty sure they will get so much data they will have no idea what to do with it.
Privacy groups are furious and the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) has protested the ruling.
Viacom also wanted the source code for YouTube, but was denied that request. The Judge agreed with Google when they claimed it was a trade secret.
