Checking out Fancast

So earlier this year Comcast announced Fancast.com, a site where you can watch your favorite TV shows online after they aired. When I first heard about it I thought it would offer low quality crap, but as almost always I was wrong.

The service is pretty sweet and the video quality is a lot better than some of the crappy HD channels I get from Cablevision.

I am actually thankful I decided to check out the Fancast service as I had forgot to record the first episode of House two weeks ago and it was available on Fancast with limited comical interruption’s, and if you watch it your self you will see the quality isn’t that bad, and you just don’t get Fox shows, you get access to shows from ABC, CBS, NBC, WB and Fox.

But you don’t just get TV shows from Fancast, you can also watch movies such as “28 days later” or “Nutty Professor II”, and again the video quality is decent. I have a wide screen monitor and Fancast allows me to watch the TV show or Movie in full screen mode which is pretty cool. I suggest you all check it out, as they offer more than just movies they also have interviews with stars from various shows and the sites pretty informative.

Something I noticed is that it is using Hulu content, which is a joint venture between NBC and News Corp, but Fancast definitely has a better looking sute than Hulu.
