Starting today Symantec is allowing everyone to help them test their new service called “Norton Identity Safe”. The service will allow you to store your passwords in the cloud, so that you don’t have to remember them.
According to a survey conducted by Symantec 38% of us write down our passwords on a piece of paper. Not smart as anyone can gain access to it.
The software is available for free during the beta test at http://identitysafe-beta.norton.com.
The software is available for PC, iPhone, iPad and iPod.
Symantec today announced the public beta for Norton 360 v6, what I consider the best full featured security suite available today.
New in Norton 360 v6 is Norton Identity Safe in the cloud, which allows you to maintain your passwords in the cloud and access to them from any PC, Norton Management a new web management which allows you to remotely control some of Nortons feature, along with other under the hood improvements.

Today Symantec announced Norton One a personalized service that allows users to select a combination of solutions that will work best for them and their connected devices.
“Norton continues to expand our business with our Norton Everywhere initiative, delivering solutions that are focused on the individual, wherever they go and regardless of the device they’re using,” said Janice Chaffin, group president, Consumer Business Unit, Symantec. “Norton One is a one-of-a-kind, new model that will address the security and service challenges that consumers face today.”
Today Symantec announced the availability of their 2012 Norton Internet Security and Norton Anti Virus security programs, and also announced a bunch of new products which are part of their Norton Everywhere initiative which aims to put a Norton Security product on every connected device.
The 2012 version of Norton Internet Security and AntiVirus were designed to improve on what I think is the best security suite on the market and I had the pleasure of seeing those improvements while I participated in the beta and at a workshop earlier this year.
