During CES I had a chance to meet with NVIDIA, and check out their GeForce 3D graphics that work with any monitor with 124 hertz refresh rate, and I was pretty impressed at it’s simplicity.
Having used an IZ3D monitor in the past, I know how complicated it can be to set up. For the IZ3D monitor you needed a video card with 2 dvi adapters because the monitor required two, and then you had to memorize where the hot keys were that increased or decreased the depth of the image. But once you figured it all out it worked great.
Today NVIDIA launched the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5800 Graphics Card Featuring CUDA Massively Parallel Processing Architecture, and has 4 gigs of memory.
“The size and complexity of data is growing at an exponential rate. The challenge for today’s professional is to make sense of the mountain of data by distilling it into a form they can comprehend, analyze and use to make impactful decisions,” said Jeff Brown, general manager, Professional Solutions, NVIDIA. “At stake can be billions of investment dollars, or even people’s lives. The Quadro FX 5800 has advanced features to allow massive datasets to be viewed beyond traditional 3D enabling professionals to make fast and accurate decisions.”
Today NVIDIA launched he NVIDIA Quadro FX 470 a professional intergrated GPU, and the NVIDIA Quadro FX 370 Low Profile, designed for small form factor systems. The NVIDIA Quadro FX 470 and 370 were designed to deliver high performance and flexability and affordability to CAD and DCC applications.
“In today’s competitive global marketplace, engineers, traders, designers and power office users demand more functionality and reliability from their desktop computing solutions,” said Jeff Brown, general manager, Professional Services, NVIDIA. “The Quadro FX 470 and the Quadro FX 370 LP are precisely tested, certified and designed to maximize productivity and deliver the cost-effective, professional-quality solution these users require on a daily basis.”
