MAINGEAR today announced that their SHIFT, F131, and Quantum SHIFT desktops will be available with the newly released 2nd generation Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition Processors and the MAINGEAR exclusive Audio Engine.

The SHIFT, F131, and Quantum SHIFT are the perfect desktops for power users. creative professionals and hard core gamers. Infact I wouldn’t be surprise if some of the MLG Gamers who are participating next week in “MLG Providence” want one of these systems under their Christmas tree next month.

MAINGEAR announced today that they will offer the the new Intel Core i7 2700k in their Shift and F131 desktops.

The i7 2700K is a quad-core processor with a clock speed of 3.5GHz and 3.9GHz Turbo boost.  The chip also integrates the CPU, Graphics and memory controller, and PCI express all on one chip.

MAINGEAR is able to overclock the 2700K to 5GHZ and beyond according to their press release.

The price of the F131 and Shift with the 2700k is $1228 and $1985 respectfully. I wish I could afford one. More information on both systems here.
