HP today showed off a refreshed version of their Pavilion full size desktop and Slimline desktop, and also introduced a sexy system designed with the gamer in mind.
The HP Pavilion P7 Series (Full Size desktop) and Pavilion S5 Series (Slimline) have had their designs slightly tweaked, giving them a more streamlined futuristic look that I think will look great in every home. The P series will have a starting price of $299 and te S5 series will have a starting price of $329. Both series will be available with Beats by Dre and HP Linkup as options.
The big news though from HP is their new Pavilion HPE h8 series desktop. A gorgeous system which sort of reminded me of how a Cylon looked in Battlestar Galactiac. When I saw the system a few weeks ago I knew I wanted one.
Today HP announced a slew of new notebooks for consumer and business users, along with some refreshes and a super slim monitor.
On the business side, HP announced the new Probook 5330m which is the first business notebook from HP to feature beats by dre and is also only 1 inch thick. It has a gorgeous two toned brush aluminum finish which makes it a decent looking system. Also on the business side, HP announced their lightest notebook the elitebook 2560p which features a 12.5 inch HD screen and optical drive. The 2670p tablet is also back with some minor changes, but it looks as great as ever. It does however lack the business card reader which I had come to live.
HP also announced DataPass pre-paid mobile broadband. When I saw DataPass in action it was connected to the Sprint 3G network in NYC.
Today HP announced it has revamped what I consider their stunning business notebook lineup.
The new EliteBook 8460p and 8560p feature a designed inspired by aerospace. The DuraCase design that meets military specifications enables the EliteBooks to withstand the toughest of conditions while maintaining a stylish yet work suitable design. In fact I have said in the past that the HP Business line of notebooks are even more elegant than their consumer line.
From new notebooks to new phones HP released or announced pretty much every kind of product you would expect from them.
On Monday HP announced that it had redesigned the Touchsmart PC, for those of you unfamiliar with the Touchsmart PC it is an all in one computer with a Touch Screen PC. I have and the girls have CuteGeek.com have reviewed various versions of the Touchsmart and each time it has won us over.
Hewlett-Packard said Thursday that it has appointed five new members to its board of directors, including former eBay chief executive and failed gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman.

I love netbooks, and I am a proud netbook owner. For me there is nothing like having a small computer that I can comfortably use on a 6 hour flight. But while I am a proud netbook owner I often feel like I am using a Playsckool toy computer. It’s almost as if every OEM is catering to all these different demographics but forget about business users or users who just want something sleek and simple.
Sure I can get a plain ol’ black netbook but I want something stylish as well. HP, Toshiba, Samsung and Dell they all make beautiful netbooks don’t get me wrong but only one of them makes the best looking netbook and that’s HP. Sad thing is the Mini 5103 is the sexiest netbook most consumers won’t own.
Last year HP blew us away when they introduced the first 100% touch screen web connected all-in-one printer the HP Photosmart Premium with Touchsmart Web. I thought and then and so did many others that this was as far as printer tech could go what more could you do besides improve inks and print speed?
Well HP obviously didn’t think the Photosmart Web was the end of the line as this year HP brings us the Photosmart eStation. An all-in-one (Scanner, Copier, Web Connected Fax, Printer) with a detachable android powered slate. I am sure it will be a WebOS powered slate in the next version.
I travel a lot and when you travel a lot you often find yourself making friends with the guys and gals that work at the counters of various Kinkos around the country, or spending an arm and a leg just to scan 1 or two documents.
So being able to get the ScanJet Professional 1000 Mobile scanner to review would not only be a fun experience but a money saving one as well.
HP today revealed some pretty cool consumer notebook PCs from the Pavilion dm3 which is great for back to school to the ENVY 17 3D that any entertainment enthusiest will love, theres pretty much something from everyone coming out of HP today. There is even a new TV connect device that will allow you to stream content form your notebooks to your television wirelessly.
“With these new technology and design enhancements, we offer customers visually stunning entertainment and an overall better computing experience. These new HP notebooks and accessories deliver breakthrough technology, power and advanced styling to satisfy the most discerning user.” said Kevin Frost VP and GM Consumer Notebooks and Personal Sstems Group at HP.
It’s been a year and a few months since HP announced the very first ProBook back in April 2009 and it has quickly become one of the best business notebooks on the market. Honestly I think it is also one of the best Notebooks for consumers as well and I think its lame that HP gears it towards its business customers. HP’s business team has brought style to business, and their consumer team should pay attention.
The ProBook 4720s is a beautiful beast, with its huge 17.3 inch widescreen display and powerful Intel Core i5 (M430 2.27 GHz) processor. The system comes with 4 GB of memory and an ATI Radeon Graphics Card. It is the most beautiful system I have played with recently and one of the most powerful.
When I first opened up the 4720s I had to take a moment and admire it. Who knew simple could be so beautiful. Everyone I show the 4720s too or any other ProBook for that matter comment on how stylish they are.
