After an 11 hour outage of their website yesterday, Netflix felt the need to say sorry and has offered their subscribers a 5% credit.
In an email sent to subscribers, Netflix said that they will issue the credit with in the next few days. Neflix hasn’t said exactly what caused the problem but lets hope it does not happen again.
After being down for nearly 12 hours, Netflix.com is back up, I have been able to login but encountered a few errors that have since cleared up.
According to News.com you may experience a few delivery delays as the entire database that controls the Netflix Website and their Distribution centers was affected. But everything seems to be running smoothly now so I doubt there will be a delay of more than a day.
Well, went to check my Netflix account and saw that the sites down, spoke with someone over at Netflix and they told me the problem occured during routine maintenance of the site.
They are also unsure when the site will be back up and did not tell me exactly what happened. I have been told however movies should be delivered with no problem, but they did not clearly state whether or not returned movies will be noted to your account and a queued movies will sent out today.
