Wow that sucks. I still scratch my head over why Apple doesn't want 3rd party developers making apps for it, since you could probably fix some of that stuff but I doubt Apple will though.

Although it is my phone, my dad bought it for me. It is only respectful to give the money back to him. He is in control of what happens to the phone. I am just giving it back to him so he can use it for his employees.

It just goes to show that the iPhone is not for everyone. If you have need for things like video or MMS, then it is not for you.

I have need for neither so I'll check them out when or if they every are offered up here in Canada.

Luke (our Apple dude from the US) brought his over. Very pretty phone.... errr. Yeah.

I'm sure v2/3 will have sorted all these things out.

I don't expect them to allow for MMS ever.

It's cheaper if they force you to use your email rather than MMS.

Sprint does it on almost all of their phones that support email.

i knew of all these issues-save the nag beep-before i bought it. i've MMS's once in my life, sent a video twice in my life. it's just not that important... to me.

if i need to send a photo, i'd much rather send it via email than a text message anyway.

sometimes i wish it had a nag beep, but other times i'm glad it doesn't.

the phone will be hacked and opened up soon enough. i'm sure someone will make a nice, pretty GUI for enabling/disabling things in the future.

EDIT: oh yeah, and you don't know what pain really is until you use a RAZR on AT&T's network... good reception = NO

It would just be a hell of a lot better if they didn't choose ATT to do it in the first place.

I love their commericials.... "The network with the fewest dropped calls" The only problem is, that's the ONLY network I have had dropped calls on (calling to someone on Cingular, and work has a Cingular account).
