Today AMD announced the availability of their newest APU the A6-3500. The A6-3500 is a desktop chip that will deliver HD quality graphics, and supercomputer-like performance to quote AMD’s press release.
The A6-3500 is a tri-core 32 bit processor with more than 300 Radeon cores, allowing it to enable DirectX11 at a discrete level. The A6-3500 has a MSRP of $95.00 and is available now. The chip operates at 2.1 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz with TurboBoost on the processor side and at 444 Mhz on the graphics side. The A6-3500 is designed for use on FM1 motherboards.
