GoFlex Satellite owners rejoice improvements to your favorite wireless hard drive are among us.
The new firmware which is version 1.2.0.012 will improve performance of the drive, also add new sorting options for albums, adds a Photo Slide Show with music and enhanced playlist support, and also music cover art will be viewable!
The update doesn’t include the feature I was hoping for which would allow a user to be on the internet while connected to the GoFlex Satellite but hopefully that feature will be available in the next update.
You can download the firmware here.

No matter what device or smartphone you are using these days, a great pair of headphones is always one of the accessories that makes that experience a whole lot better. I’ve tried out many headphones and earbuds trying to find the perfect pair that will provide crisp sound and help with noise cancellation. I found that with the ClarityOne Earbuds.
In my line of work, I have to concentrate on design, code, and requirements generation. Having a loud office provides an environment where it’s sometimes hard to think about what I’m doing. These earbuds provide a crisp clear sound quality that let me get lost in whatever I’m hearing and because of the light-weight design and long cable (it comes with a 48″ cable), I’m able to move around my workspace easily and sometimes even forget that I’m wearing them! Best of all, I no longer hear the conversations, whistling, and failed attempts at singing of my coworkers! Continue reading
Setting up your router for an AT&T Internet modem is a very simple process. Routers are used when multiple computers in the same household want to be able to connect using the same connection. To get started, plug-in the router near the cable modem. Then plug the Ethernet cable supplied with the AT&T modem into the router. When the router blinks, this will indicate that the router is syncing with the modem. From here, just click the wireless icon on the computer in order to connect to the router and then the Internet. Once a website loads, you know the router works correctly. First time setting up your home network and you need a router compatible with AT&T’s service? Check out these top five.

AMD today launched the AMD FX Family of CPUs which includes an 8 core desktop CPU. For those familiar with AMD code names this chip was codenamed “Bulldozer”, and it’s price isn’t that bad at $245 USD.
“AMD FX CPUs are back with a vengeance, as validated by the recent feat of setting a Guinness World Records® title for „Highest Frequency of a Computer Processor,‟” said Chris Cloran, corporate vice president and general manager, Client Group at AMD. “While overclockers will certainly enjoy the frequencies the AMD FX processors can achieve, PC enthusiasts and HD media aficionados will appreciate the remarkable experience that AMD FX processors can provide as part of a balanced, affordable desktop system.”

I am always suspicious when I hear of an APP that can improve a device with no additional hardware required. It’s like the modern day snake oil trade, and suckers fall for these so called apps all the time.
So when I heard about the MyTunes App from SRSLabs I immediately thought what a load of crap. I love SRSLabs but I honestly thought they were trying to pull a fast one on me and others who might find the app.
But I was wrong, the APP worked great and my music did indeed sound a lot better. It was as if I got myself some expensive head phones for free! My DRM music didn’t work on it, and after a conversation with support at SRSLabs I learned it was because DRM music isn’t supported, but who has DRM music now a days anyway? It’s 2011 not 2001
