Toshiba and Intel Launch Social Experience

Yesterday Toshiba and Intel launched a new campaign called “The Inside Experience” with academy award winning photog Mauro Fiore and D.J. Caruso, director of Disturbia just to name a few. They are filming a new concept film that will allow us to participate in it via social networking sites.

Basically during the airing of the show, which will be released in episodes on July 25th – August 4th, users will be able to tweet clues, to one of the characters (Christina). The editor of the film will then incorporate tweets into the show that best fit the story line.

Also one lucky viewer may win a chance to appear on the show! Yesterday a YouTube online casting call opened up. The person with the winning video submission will be cast into the show. How cool is that? Too bad I suck at making videos (just watch some of my unboxings).

Update I am also told you should follow @TheInsideExp

Dropcam Echo Review

For those of you who follow me know I travel a lot, according to my TripIt.com stats I traveled 116 days last year. That’s nearly 4 months’ worth of travel time. When I think about it that now I realize how much time away from home I’ve spent.

All my trips are 2 to 3 days long, quick trips but never the less my home is empty with the exception of my dog. I do have an automatic dog feeder and water bowl so she is fed and she also has a doll that when played with says “You’re a good dog” in my voice.

Review: Novero Tour

When I first saw the Novero Tour, my first impression was “THROW BACK”. I started to remember my good old Walkman and my first CD player with the over the head headphones.

Those were the days, where you had to hold your music player in your hand because it was too big to fit in your pocket, and guys carried purses (cd carriers) full of CD’s and Cassettes. The days where if you went jogging you didn’t have to worry about your ear buds falling out of your ears, and you lost an extra pound or two because of the weight of your music player.

Those were the days, but those days aren’t over just yet Novero has brought the over the headphone back to us without WIRES and it doubles as a cell phone headset.

Avoid Dropbox

Today I recieved an email informing me of a change in the Terms of Service for the Dropbox service. Normally I would just delete the email but after some recent security issues I wanted to read it, maybe there would be something that would reassure me and make me feel more comfortable using their service.

What I found horrified me instead. I have no idea if these lines of text in the TOS are new or not but because of them I will not use the service. Click here to view the TOS and below are some lines from the TOS that concern me. (FYI Blog Post from DropBox click here, a lot of upset people)

By using our Services you may give us access to your information, files, and folders (together, “your stuff”). You retain ownership to your stuff. You are also solely responsible for your conduct, the content of your files and folders, and your communications with others while using the Services.

That basically says they can use your stuff.
