Review: SRS Labs iWOW 3D

I love music and thus have a large collection of music that I listen to all the time. Being that I live in NY, you know how much time we New Yorkers spend on the subway… I’d much rather listen to music than the click clack of the train going down the tracks.

Until recently, well not really recently, maybe more like within the past 2 years, I had no idea what I was missing when it came to my music. The SRS iWOW opened my eyes, rather my ears, to a whole new way to experience my digital music collection.

Review HP ProBook 6560b or as I like to call it Notebook 1

Luxury! That is the word that comes to mind when I look at the HP ProBook 6560b. Luxury! Yeah that’s it. It’s a luxurious machine, and it sort of looks like that limosine the president rides.

I personally can’t remember any other device that looks as rugged and luxurious at the same time as the ProBook 6560b does. It’s a beats a beautiful beast and a powerful one too. It has a nice metalic brushed finish, that feels as good as it looks. When you look at it you can tell right away its a solid machine.

Powered by an Intel core i5 processor and 4GB of memory running on Windows 7, the ProBook 6560b delivers enough power to handle my day to day activities with ease. Every machine I receive for review I like to test it by actually using it. I do not like running benchmarks as I do not believe they give a realistic view of how well a machine can perform.

Review: HP 100B All-in-One

Small business is big business for a lot of OEMS like HP, so they have lines designed specifically for the small business user. In fact some of their small business products look like their consumer products and vice versa as they from time to time share design ideas.

The HP 100B is an example of that; it’s a great looking machine in the design that the HP Touchsmart PC made so popular.

Powered by a dual core AMD processor 1.6 Ghz and with 2 GB of memory upgradeable to 8 GB. The HP should deliver enough power to handle day simple to day task, but there really is only one way to find out if it can or not. So I did what I always do, I made it my day to day machine.

Battle of the Sexes a TeleNav Survey

Telenav the creator of the most popular and best mobile phone GPS navigation system today released a survey that shows the various driving tendencies of men and women. 610 people were surveyed 300 of which were women.

The survey shows pretty much who drives the most, who gets lost the most and who uses a fork or spoon to eat while they drive.

Some Highlights:

• 81 percent of men indicated they have a better sense of direction than their significant other. In contrast, only 45 percent of women felt they possess a better sense of direction than their partner.

• When asked what annoys them most when their significant other is driving, the most frequent response from men was that their significant other drives too slowly. The most common response from women was that their partner follows another vehicle too closely.

• Twice as many men than women admitted that they have driven a vehicle with their knees at one point.

• When asked if they had ever groomed themselves while driving (put on make-up for women or shaved for men), four times as many women answered yes than men.

• Twenty-one percent of all respondents have eaten a meal that required a fork or spoon while driving.

Logitech Launches Accessories for Tablets

Today, Logitech launched various products for tablets. from a case for the iPad2, Wireless Speakers, keyboard and even a mouse.

I had a chance a few weeks ago to test out the wireless speakers, and they were great. They delivered an amazing sound from the iPad it was connected wireless too. I also had a chance tot est out the Keyboard Stand for the iPad 2. It’s a keyboard that has a rest built into it so you can place your iPad on it. It is a Bluetooth device and can connect pretty much to any tablet with Bluetooth and work. I tried it on my Blackberry Playbook and it worked great. There are however buttons specifically tailored to the iPad2

My Thoughts on the Lenovo ThinkPad X1

A few weeks ago I had my first Lenovo experience with the Edge 420s—system which I consider one of the best notebooks currently on the market if not the best. I feel that way about the Edge 420s because of its stellar design, amazing power, and computing experience that was unique and fun.

Today, Lenovo announced the ThinkPad X1, their thinnest ThinkPad to date at only 16.5mm thick. The X1 also only weighs 3.8lbs, and is powered by an Intel core i5 processor. I have been using the X1 for a little over a week as my day to day system and I have to say I continue to be impressed by that unique computing experience only Lenovo seems to deliver.

“We created the ThinkPad X1 laptop by first taking the best technologies and then engineering them into our thinnest and lightest, yet powerful machine and by finally adding our own innovations around power, durability and design for a premium computing experience,” said Dilip Bhatia, vice president, Think Product Group, Lenovo. “The ThinkPad X1 laptop incorporates the features that make a real difference for business users and sets it above the rest in the industry.”
