The Sound ID 510 is a light (weighs about 8 grams) Bluetooth headest with a real treat. It comes with its own iPhone/Android (requires Android 2.1) app (BlackBerry app is coming soon) which allows you to adjust sound levels, check on the battery level and update firmware, toggle certain settings, and also includes the ability to find the headset.
So I finally received the reviewers kit the Logitech Review, I had been anxious to get one and it was supposed to come last week so when it arrived today I was super excited. I quickly made an unboxing video probably one of the worst I ever made because I was in such of a rush to hook it up. Check the video out below.
After playing with it for about 2 hours, I have to say I am a bit underwhelmed. All it has done is basically add Netflix and Amazon VOD to my television plus Chrome so I can browse the web. Not really sure I am feeling it but maybe after using it for a few days that will change. I will let you all know what I think in a week.
A few months ago Maingear announced their X-Cube small form factor custom Gaming PC. It struck us as interesting since most people think of ginormous computers when they think of a computer capable of hardcore gaming.
So we asked Maingear if they could loan us one to test out. We wanted to see if a small form factor PC could handle hard core gaming, especially since the system is overclockable. So they sent us one.
The use of a computer to process data or perform calculations. That my friends is the definition of computing and personal computing is where we are all headed.
We have a lot of OEM who focus on our needs for a personal computer, be it a notebook or a desktop. However I am unsure there is any OEM that focuses on our needs for computing. Sure sell us a notebook or a desktop that will allow us to compute but the end of the personal PC is coming.
I know I probably sound crazy right about now but think about it. Processors are able to handle so much now a days compared to a few years ago even though they technically have stalled with speed over the past four years. Our home networks are faster than ever and are only bound to get faster. What we need in our homes are servers but not your traditional servers. Servers that have the power of workstations such as the HP Z800. Just imagine a $10,000 Z800 workstation in your home. Think of all the things you can do with it, from streaming video to your TV, Gaming and so much more. Now 10 years from now that powerful HP Z800 workstation will probably cost around $800 – $1000. Well maybe not the exact same system but a system as powerful as a Z800 that will cost you $10,000 today.
Here is the code needed to make a claims form login page for sharepoint 2010 enjoy!
So, finding information (that’s accurate and reliable) for migrating FBA or to a claims based authentication system in SharePoint 2010 seems few and far between. After having done my own claims and FBA migration I thought I’d share my notes for what worked for me.
If you didn’t already know at&t is sponsoring Drake concerts and as an at&t ambassador I was asked if I wanted to attend a one in Connecticut and actually meet Drake. We just had to tell at&t why we wanted to go etc. Basically a competition with other at&t ambassadors part of the at&t share program.
I personally am not a big Drake fan, hell I hated him in Degrassi. Although I like his music I am far from a huge fan. However my 13 year old nephew calls him his idol. So I wanted to take him especially since my sister and his mom passed away last month and he hasn’t been feeling 100% him. I haven’t seen him smile much lately and really wanted to take him someplace nice. So when at&t asked if I wanted to go and to submit a story as to why I pretty much told them what I just wrote above.
Earlier this year Seagate announced their new GoFlex Eco-System which included a line of external portable drives under the FreeAgent brand. Two weeks ago I was able to get my hands on the 1.5 TB version of the portable drive, which comes with a USB 3.0 GoFlex Adapter.
The 1.5 TB FreeAgent GoFlex drive looks almost identical to other FreeAgent drives of smaller sizes, however it is thicker and a bit heavier. Something else I noticed about the FreeAgent GoFlex 1.5 TB drive is it doesn’t fit into the new FreeAgent Theater which sort of sucks for theater owners.
Today I had the honor of attending the Microsoft Open House and Windows Phone 7 announcement. I was pretty excited because I have been hearing so many good things about windows phone 7. However I didn’t expect it to be much. I expected plenty of hype and no follow through, pretty much like last year with Windows Mobile 6.5. All hype and no play.
But after sitting through the hour long press conference I finally was able to get my hands on the phone and all I can say is “HOLY SHIT”. The thing is amazing the os is simply beautiful. When I first saw the tiles I didn’t like it, I thought it was a lame attempt to be cool but it all jives and flows together. I purchased a new iPhone because I thought Windows Phone 7 would be lame and now I am kicking myself. Anyone want to buy my iPhone 4? It’s a month and 3 days old. I seriously would sell it to anyone who wants it, it is the 32 GB model.
A few weeks ago I had the chance to check out the VTech LS6245. While I have heard of VTech in the past I never really gave their products much thought as I never used their products and never really heard much about them with the exception of seeing them in stores. However I am not one to say no to review opportunities, so when they asked if I wanted to check out the LS6245 I said yes..
When I recieved the LS6245 and studied its manaul and saw everything it could do, I immediately realized how cool it was. It isn’t your grandpas cordless phone that’s for sure. The LS6245 is a stylish cordless phone, it has a clean elegant design with a thin light weight handset. It has a built in digital answering machine and caller ID display on both the handset and base. While it sounds like a typical phone that looks nice, it isn’t.
Not only will it handle your landline or VoIP service; it also works as a bluetooth handset and can seemlessly intergrate with up to two mobile devices. So if you are like me and tend to forget where you placed your cell phone. When it rings simply answer it on the LS6245.
