I have said this in a previous review, the HP Probook line is probably one of the best if not the best business line of notebooks around.
I say they are one of the best, because they are built to last, powerful, and have unique security and data protection features that will probably save you from a lot of headaches, along with features to help save energy. The 6545B is EPEAT Gold Registered.
The model of the 6545B HP loaned me is the PM992UT#ABA, it has a $799 price tag, powered by an AMD Turion II M520 processor, 15.6 inch LED Backlit HD capable display, 2MP webcam, 320 GBHDD, 2 GB of memory, and a/b/g/n wireless connectivity, with a 6cell battery that gave me about 5 hours of battery life.
Just before Christmas I received the LiveScribe 4GB Pulse Pen and it has been my best friend ever since. I use it to take notes, as a voice recorder and I even use it to pass time playing the different mini games available for purchase from the LiveScribe App store.
The Pulse Pen with the use of special paper which is sold separately (you can print your own for free) allows you to transfer your paper notes to your computer, create voice recordings while you take notes and so much more. It’s probably one of the best inventions ever.
Today I had the pleasure with several others to have a discussion with Phil McKinney CTO or HP. The discussion was about 3D technology.
The point of the discussion was to talk about a recent Panel that Phil moderated during the Sundance Film Festival. The panel was put together to discuss the challenges they face in brining 3D to consumers, and find ways to better align the industry. Basically get everyone on the same page.
I was able to get my hands on the new PS110 from Seagate, their first USB 3.0 external drive. I will have a review in a week or so but until then enjoy the unboxing video below.
I used to have a set of problems, a set of problems that a lot of you probably have right now, or have had in the past. It’s the being scared to death when commercials come on problem, the waking up the loved ones when commercials come on during the late late late show problem, and the ringing in your ears after flipping through a few channels problem.
The problem is so bad, that there are law makers in this great country of ours who are trying to push through legislation that would force TV Stations, Cable and Satellite providers to try and fix the problem. But even if such legislation passes, will anything really be done?

Sufian got his hands on the Sherwood Netboxx for us, he should have a review up with in the next week or two. Until then check out his unboxing video.
Back in December I was sent a BHEESTIE bag to check out. Supposedly when your electronic device such as an mp3 player, digital camera and even cell phone gets wet or if you drop it in the toilet as I have you put it in the BHEESTIE bag for 72 hours and it will still work. Inside the BHEESTIE bag there are some beeds in a pouch. The beeds will absorb the liquid and it’s also supposed to improve the life span of the device if you place it in the bag every night.
Does it work? I really don’t know. My sister dropped her Palm Pre into a jug of Kool-Aid. She rushed her phone over and put it into the BHEESTIE bag and 3 days later we take it out. The phone worked, there were pinkish dots on the screen but it worked. But I do not know if the BHEESTIE bag saved it or liquid dried up and the phone was able to work again.
Here is a video review on the Samsung Omnia II.
