The last time I used a Casio product was in 1995 when I loved and used my trusty Casio watch daily, but yesterday Casio launched a new camera line called the Casio Exilim. The camera comes with a feature called “Time Travel” which is basically breaks down the frames per second to 1200 in a single shot. To my knowledge no other camera is able to shoot still and video at 1200 frames per second at this price point. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
To promote the Camera Casio has a created some hilarious videos, I suggest you all check out. Casio is also giving away out of the cameras, for info on that click here.
Tomorrow Microsoft will release Power Pack 2 for the Windows Home Server, a service pack of sorts that will offer better remote access, along with media streaming to Windows Media Center.
As long as your Windows Home Server is set to auto update, your server should pull down the update automatically. You also need to have Windows Home Server Power Pack 1 installed to get the update.
So I had a chance to play with Hauppauge’s HD PVR and while I am a huge TiVo fan, I never have purchased a Tivo because I could never justify the $599 for the HD Version and the $130 a year for the service.
But I always wanted a DVR, because I have a busy schedule and am not always home in time for the start of my favorite shows like 24, House and Hells Kitchen, so of course I jumped on the chance to test out the Happauge HD PVR, and I shared with with Nina from CuteGeek.com so that she could give her thoughts on it over at CuteGeek.
Being a huge baseball fan I had to share this with you all. MLB Dugout Hero’s is now in Open Beta, meaning everyone can download and play it for free during the Beta.
I tried to install the game yesterday but ran into some issues so I can’t share with you my initial experience with the game just yet, but from reading what others who have played it in the closed beta have had to say, it’s going to be one hell of a fun game.

Microsoft today announced the availability of Internet Explorer 8.0. The new web browser is much faster than Internet Explorer 7 and more compliant when it comes to HTML. The browser features web slices which are similar to RSS feeds but offer more information and can be customized, to display a widget of sorts.
“Customers have made clear what they want in a Web browser—safety, speed and greater ease of use,” said Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft. “With Internet Explorer 8, we are delivering a browser that gets people to the information they need, fast, and provides protection that no other browser can match.”
Having tested the browser I can say it’s ready for prime time but expect some issues. There are a lot of security enhancements in IE 8 that will protect you better from phishing scams and other attacks you may face on the web.
